When working with larger and longer workpieces the supplementary long guide bar is very helpful in insuring a more unerring operation.If the cutting of cones and cylinders up to a radius of 110 mm comes up a lot then the circular cutter is a must. Its 1:2 gear ratio allows 360 degree cuts without having to change hands. The horizontal cutter tightens a wire between the stand (bracket) and the guide bar (rip fence) thereby allowing the wobble-free cutting of flat workpieces. One of the most essential work aids for both models is the foot switch. It is especially necessary because the hot wire should not remain continuously heated (otherwise it will rip much faster and also cause ever widening cuts and, when making angle cuts, the corners will not be clean or sharp). The foot switch also allows both hands to be free, a necessity for most cutting work.
