Cotman Student Watercolours

Cotman Watercolour by Winsor & Newton (Amateur Artist Quality)

Cotman watercolours are a range of moderately priced colours which have been carefully selected to offer a wide colour spectrum within a uniform price. A range which is suitable for both amateur artists or the accomplished artist who requires large volumes of colour at an economical price.
The range of 40 colours are chosen according to mass tone (colour from tube), undertone (bias of colour when in a thin film), colour strength, relative opacity and the character of the pigment itself. The resultant colour spectrum ensures the largest number of colours can be mixed.

Cotman Water Colours by Winsor & Newton Winsor & Newton Cotman provides a comparatively inexpensive selection of good quality watercolours. Colours include both useful traditional pigments, and reliable synthetic colours that replace some of the more rare and expensive pigments. Cotman colours represent superb value and are compatible with acrylics and gouache to produce combinations of opacity and transparency

Sennelier Extra Fine Artist Watercolours

The cornerstone of this Aquarelle paint range was developed in 1893, but recent additions of modern pigments provide improved lightfastness and stability. The Sennelier watercolour pigments are prepared in the traditional manner, first being soaked in purified water before being ground on granite millstones to achieve maximum fineness and optimum dispersion. The range of 80 highly pigmented colours use a binder of the finest pure gum arabic from Kordafan, mixed with glycerin.
